Browsing the Open Source Design briefs (some time ago) I saw an interesting one. It was a call for the re-design of the Open Tech School (OTS) website. In their own words, OTS is: “a distributed community initiative organizing welcoming and inclusive code learning happenings with real people in the real world…”. It has active chapters in nine different cities spread across multiple countries. Giorgia, from team Berlin (the original chapter), provided me with plenty of information regarding the scope of the re-design. They had already gathered a wealth of information through user interviews and contextual stories regarding the restructuring of the website. A few iterative cycles after here is my take on the OTS v2.
