“Data Centar is an open online platform that provides easy access to datasets of various public information at the national and local level in Serbia. It was developed to help journalists, activists, researchers and public officials in the search for valuable data to power their stories, campaigns, analyses or decision making.” (source: datacentar.io)
My involvement was two-fold, initially, I conceptualized and created a brand identity and after that designed the Interface for the new web-application.
The identity of Data Centar was developed through a series of iterations starting from a few crude directions sketched on paper and slowly refined until the final design. A clear, elegant solution to communicate the “weaving” process that occurs when complex data-sets are simplified and presented as coherent insights.
